Everything striker Johnny Kenny said to Celtic TV in his first official interview as a Parkhead player...

Welcome to Celtic, how does it feel?

It feels amazing. Thankfully it's come quick enough and it's over the line now. It's just getting down to work now, impressing the gaffer and get in amongst it all.

You had a very impressive season at Sligo Rovers and there was a lot of interest in you. When Celtic came calling what were your emotions like?

Yeah, I had a good season with Sligo and it was good to play there. When I saw Celtic were there it was really a no-brainer, they're such a big club - here and back home. So many of my family and friends support and get behind the club so it was a no-brainer and I couldn't wait to get here.

How are your family taking it all in?

The family are proud, couldn't be happier. I can't thank them enough for their support - my uncles, aunties, my mum and dad, brothers... even friends. It's just amazing.

What's it been like on your first day at Celtic Park and getting to see it for the first time?

It's amazing. I'm coming from the Showgrounds, which is a lovely ground in Sligo. It's home. But when you come here it's just something different. Sixty-thousand fans while playing at Celtic Park will be a dream come true - such a stadium, so much history!

What are you looking forward to the most?

I'm looking forward to playing in front of the fans, giving everything I have to keep the team winning and hopefully win a lot of trophies here at this club. They've won a lot in previous times and hopefully I can help them bring more home.

What type of player are you and what can the fans expect?

I'm a striker that likes to get in behind and press defenders. I like to think I can score goals when I'm in and around the box but the thing that comes first is work-rate. I'll bring massive work-rate to the team and hopefully score goals to get the fans off their seats.

You're only 18 and have signed a long-term deal - what are your ambitions for your time here?

I want to come here and win trophies, score goals, get the fans on my side and hopefully win stuff at Celtic Park.

How much of an influence was Ange Postecolou in your decision to come here?

The gaffer was massive. I've talked to him a few times now, since before I came. He's just amazing - the way he wants to play, the way he thinks of me. I've seen the last few months since he came in that the amount of young players he's brought through here has been nothing but unreal. I hope I can play under him.
