How are you enjoying the unity between management, players and fans at the moment?

It’s really strong. It's a great sell about this club for myself and to see it is another level, another experience. I’m really enjoying it. The support is there because they can see we are trying to represent the support as best we can. Obviously, everyone wants results but we are playing to the peak of our powers and it’s appreciated. We really appreciate the support.

Would you rather have a full week build-up to the cup final?

We are not in the game for preferences. We are here to play Ross County tomorrow night. It’s a cliché but it is so true. All we are focused on is tomorrow night.

Given recent form, you will be confident despite injuries?

Yeah, it will be tough. It’s a big trip for us. We are light on bodies but I think it was proven in the Betis game the boys are training and doing all the hard work that we appreciate in the background that people don’t necessarily see. And we have full confidence in the guys that are coming in or coming off the bench to represent us.

What do you make of the Conference League draw?

It’s so tough to even look that far. It’s nice to know who we are playing, it really is but it’s so far in the future. We have to take care of the present. It’s really nice to be involved in Europe. We have really enjoyed the games up until now and I’m sure that will be another fun adventure but it’s one step at a time at the moment.

Are you seen as a leader in the group?

That’s for other people to judge how I’m seen but I try to bring the same energy and the same professionalism that I’ve brought throughout my career no matter where I’ve been or what I’ve done. I have the standards I’ve set for myself and I like helping other players. We have a lot of younger players in the squad, if they want to hear what I have to say then great, if they don’t then everyone has got their own path.

How do you rate your performances so far this season out of ten?

I don’t know. We are winning which is the most important thing and I’m enjoying being part of that. It’s something I’m enjoying – being here and being part of the club. I’m going to get the most enjoyment if I try to keep the performance level that keeps me in the team. Whatever score that may be, I’m trying to keep to it.

Do you enjoy being one of the most senior players?

I just like playing football. Always have done, always will do and trying to do it on the stage that’s set here is something I’m loving.
