Here's everything Kyogo Furuhashi said in his exclusive interview with Celtic TV.

How much have you settled in at Celtic and how much are you enjoying your football?

I have settled well and got used to Glasgow. I am loving football here.

You play with a smile on your face what is it about Celtic that pleases you so much?

I am happy and honoured to be able to play in front of all the supporters here. Being able to play my style of football and seeing the reaction and excitement of the fans have given me so much motivation. I am enjoying playing here.

The fans really love watching you play, how important is it for you to have that connection with the supporters?

First of all, I am happy to hear that. It's nice to know I am accepted a little, but at the same time, I am not satisfied with my play yet. I want to play better and contribute to bringing more joy to fans.

Has there been one moment or one goal that has been your favourite since you joined the club?

Favourite moment...when anyone scores, the whole stadium goes wild at once. That is special and absolutely amazing. When it comes to goals, every goal was special for me. Thanks to everyone's effort and support, I can score goals. So, if I can make everyone happy by scoring, then I am truly happy too.

We've seen pictures of you out in the city enjoying Glasgow. What do you think of Glasgow and Scotland?

I like Glasgow and I feel it is easy to live here. I think I can call it my second home now.

We see you scoring lots of goals but also helping the team out defensively, how important is it for you to be a team player?

When it comes to the team, defence is extremely important. As a forward, it is crucial for me to chase from the front and make my teammates life easier at the defence line. That is part of my style as a player and also a core part of the team concept. There is no guarantee for me to play in every game in the future, but I care about how we play as a team.

There is obviously still a language barrier, but how do you get on understanding your teammates and have you taught them any Japanese?

There is a language barrier but I am studying very hard. Talking is more challenging but my listening skills are improving. I think it's getting there. Regarding Japanese, I have been teaching phrases like "Good morning" and "How are you?". It has started from there.

Our manager knows the Japanese game well having worked there, how much do you enjoy playing his style of football?

It has been extremely fun. In Japan going against Ange's team was always difficult and challenging. His style of constantly keeping the ball at the front is delightful and enjoyable for me.

What are your aims and ambitions for the rest of the season?

First of all, as a team, we win the championship. Personally, I want to score at least 20 goals. I have been missing opportunities a lot, I want to score goals to support the team. I also want to be more aggressive when it comes to defending to support the players at the back.
