Here's everything Ange Postecoglou said in his interview with the BBC after the game.

You seemed to have a fair grip of the game but one goal is one goal and it is a win isn't it?

We certainly had opportunities to make it more comfortable and I guess when you don't take opportunities you always give the opposition a chance to hang in there. I thought we still handled it fairly well and we stuck in and it was an important victory for us. We are in the middle of a pretty congested schedule and I am pleased we got the rewards.

You were worthy of the points in terms of possession and pressure - were you nervous that the lead was only one goal?

I wasn't nervous but I just think we can make things easier for ourselves. I always felt that we were in control of the game and Joe (Hart) pulled off a great save in the first half and in the second half they had a couple of crosses and we had some clear cut chances and their keeper pulled off a couple of great saves as well. It is just one of those things, it is a game of football and if you don't get that second one the opposition always feels that they've got a chance. I thought for the most part we were in control.

What you didn't need was another injury - first of all how is James Forrest?

I'm not really sure as James felt something and I haven't had the chance to speak to him. It is disappointing and he hasn't been 100 per cent but we felt that he was okay for the game today but obviously it hasn't worked out.

Does that just add to your concerns in regards to the series of injuries?

We are not having a great run but it is just another challenge for us. I have had challenges from the moment I walked in the door and we are in a pretty good space. You just got to keep going and there is no point crying or moaning about it too much. Ultimately I said to the players, we just keep going and play our football as there is always going to be things we need to overcome which we are overcoming at the moment and we just need to keep going.

You subbed the substitute Mikey Johnston - was that tactical?

No, Mikey wasn't 100 per cent which is why we didn't start him. The plan today was to give him 30 minutes but obviously, with James going down we had to use him sooner. He put in a good shift for us but he is not 100 per cent and he did a good job for us and we did not want to risk him unnecessarily towards the end.

There is a big run of games coming up, do you just file that one under three points tucked away and job done?

I think it is more than that as we are on a pretty decent run of form. We have been playing well for quite a while and long may it continue that people aren't noticing from my point of view because we are not making excuses and we are just tackling every challenge and overcoming it.

You teased us at the start with the shape of that team but it worked out for you didn't it?

I thought it worked quite well and David (Turnbull) did a good job with filling in the spaces and running the line at times. At other times Callum McGregor and Tommy (Rogic) did that job for us and I thought it worked pretty well. Losing James early sort of disrupted us and we lost a little bit of our rhythm when he went off and we had to re-jig things again. In the second half, we were nice and bright and created some good chances and showed good movement.
