Celtic have completed the signing of Oh Hyeon-gyu.

The 21-year-old South Korea international has joined the Scottish champions on a five-year deal worth around £2.5million.

Oh admitted that it is a dream come true for him to sign for Celtic and he felt that he had walked onto a movie set having touched down in Glasgow's east end.

Oh told Celtic TV: "I'm happy to be playing at one of the top clubs and I'm delighted that my dream has come true. I'm a very aggressive player who also likes the physical side.

"I also like to score lots of goals. I feel like I'm on a movie set and I'm really excited to be in the city. I'm looking forward to the upcoming days. One of my aims is to score a lot of goals. I also have ambitions of winning the league."

Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou revealed that he was delighted to land his man and that he was impressed by the player's persistence and determination to ensure that the deal went through.

Postecoglou said: “We are delighted to bring Oh to Celtic. He is a young, talented striker with great attributes and someone who is ready to take the next stage in his career – a player who is hungry, and eager to develop and achieve success.

"I have watched Oh for some time and he is the striker I really wanted as I think he will be a great fit in our squad. Really importantly, I know that he had his heart set on joining us too and that his own perseverance has been crucial in making this deal happen, so his determination to join Celtic has been very clear."

Celtic Way:

Oh becomes the Hoops' fourth signing of the January transfer window following the arrivals of Alistair Johnston, Yuki Kobayashi and Tomoki Iwata.

With six days left in the transfer window, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Moritz Jenz look set to leave the club.

The Greek striker is reportedly weighing up offers on the table from Atlanta United and Urawa Red Diamonds with the MLS side submitting an increased offer for the striker.

Meanwhile, German defender Jenz is keen to move on from Celtic Park after barely featuring post-World Cup. He is believed to have options in Germany, with Schalke already being heavily linked with the 23-year-old centre-back.
