Celtic defender Josip Juranovic sent social media into overdrive after claims that the right-back would leave the club this summer.

The Croatia international joined Celtic 12 months ago from Polish outfit Legia Warsaw and has enjoyed a successful stint under manager Ange Postecoglou winning the Scottish Premiership and League Cup.

The player himself has always said that he is happy and settled at Parkhead and is not keen on a summer exit from Parkhead despite alleged growing interest from EPL clubs. Juranovic is under contract to Celtic until 2026 after penning a five-year deal last summer.

Meanwhile, Jota could be announced as a permanent Celtic player by the end of the week.

The Portuguese winger made a huge impact in his loan spell at Parkhead last season and reports emanating from Portugal state that Celtic have triggered a £6.5million transfer clause as part of their loan deal with Benfica.

Jota's parent club are reputedly keen on finalising transfer dealings out of the club to aid their own summer transfer plans.

Postecoglou has maintained all along that he had high hopes of landing both top transfer targets Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota on permanent deals after successful loan spells last term.

It now appears that Jota seems set to follow Carter-Vickers through the famous glass doors after the USA international penned a four-year deal earlier this month.
