WITH an increasingly hectic schedule for elite footballers and Celtic's propensity for going deep in most competitions they enter, it was no surprise to see Callum McGregor's workload referenced in a FIFPro report.
The Hoops captain plays upwards of 55 matches per season with very little break and the worldwide players' organisation has recommended a four-week break and limiting back-to-back games as potential ways to alleviate the physical and mental stresses athletes such as McGregor must contend with.
Sean Martin and Alison McConnell discuss how Celtic can better manage McGregor's minutes next season and how realistic extra time out of the team is for such an instrumental player.
They also dissect Celtic's Scottish Women's Cup final win over Glasgow City which meant Fran Alonso's side completed a double of their own this season.
