STEVENAGE boss Steve Evans saluted Celtic's win over Rangers as he enjoyed a "great day" after his side also earned a win.

The Scottish manager insisted things "don't get much better" than a win for his side and a Celtic win in the top-of-the-table derby clash.

League Two side Stevenage battled to a 2-1 win over Crewe yesterday, while Celtic thumped rivals Rangers 4-0 at Parkhead.

And Evans - a Celtic supporter - was thrilled with the afternoon as he remarked on both results in his post-match interview with the Stevenage club media.

The manager said: "It's a great day when we win away from home and Glasgow Celtic beat Rangers.

"It's just a great day. It doesn't get much better than that unless you win the lottery."
