Hoops hero Tom Rogic has been relatively quiet since leaving the Scottish champions at the end of last season.

The Celtic legend brought down the curtain on nine trophy-laden years at Parkhead after helping the Bhoys wrestle back the title from rivals Rangers.

Since then, though, the Australian is yet to sign for another club or even play competitive football at all after he pulled out of his country's successful World Cup playoff semi-final squad.

However, the 29-year-old has been spotted in the most remarkable of scenarios.

Eagle-eyed supporters picked out the ex-Hoops midfielder in the background of a photo being taken in Melbourne Airport.

The picture just so happened to be of former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, who was posing with some fans.

Tomlinson is down under for his rescheduled tour, but he is not the main attraction for fans of the Parkhead side who were delighted to see Rogic make a surprise appearance.

The playmaker won nine titles during his time in Glasgow and will no doubt be looking for a new club in the near future.
